Testbirds Presents: Women in IT – Ada Lovelace

Every year on March 8th, International Women’s Day is celebrated. This initiative is supported by many charities, governments, NGO’s, businesses, academic institutions and women’s networks all around the globe, celebrating current achievements and calling to further tackle issues regarding gender equality.
Its history goes back to the 1908 Women’s March in the US where 15,000 women for the first time ever stood up for themselves and demanded equality in an organised form. Since then, luckily, a lot of things have changed when it comes to being a woman in different parts of the world. Global cultural differences aside, it is overall an ongoing and constantly improving movement towards raising awareness and striving towards gender equality on all different levels.

To keep the festive and contemplative spirit, an important part of December is often left out. What nobody shows you is the annual struggle most people go through right now: Christmas shopping. How does crowdtesting fit into this topic? Let’s take a look.

Testing in the cloud versus real-life testing – two sides of the same coin

When it comes to software testing, innovation is key. It’s hard to keep up with all kinds of trends popping up like mushrooms, and to keep an overview of the unique vocabulary. It has now been nearly two months since I started working at Testbirds without prior knowledge about IT or development, so this article can also be seen as a recap of what I have learned so far.
