I’m Octavian and this is my role at Testbirds

My Role at Testbirds is a series of blog posts that gives insights into the daily life at the office. Every so often, one of our employees will introduce you to his or her line of work and share some helpful tips.

This week features a Testbird from the German team who shares a nationality with Count Dracula. Octavian Craciun is in charge of the delicate relationship between pixels and code at Testbirds.

What you do at Testbirds:
I handle the visual part of Testbirds user interfaces and the visual identity for Testbirds.

There is no typical day, my work is so diverse that everyday is different.

What apps/software/tools can’t you live without?
Adobe Suite, it’s my bread and butter.

What’s your work setup like?
MacBook and monitor

What’s your best time-saving shortcut?
cmd+tab

Besides your phone and computer, what gadget can’t you live without (and why)?
It’s not a gadget, but I can’t live without my trusty metal 0.5 mechanical pencil.

What everyday thing are you better at than everyone else? What’s your secret?
I can stay quiet for long periods of time…

What do you like to do outside of work?
Read and make stuff with my hands.

What’s the best advice/life motto you’ve ever heard?
Learn something new everyday.

If you could meet anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?
It could be anyone.

My name, Craciun, means Christmas in Romanian.
