A few months back we revealed our Global Real Device Network to the world: the testing solution that enables true remote testing on real devices within our globally distributed crowd of testers. With this blog post, I would like to take you back to the fundamentals of this unique solution, that combines the flexibility and scalability of crowdtesting, with the efficiency and convenience of cloud-based testing. It might sound weird, but we cannot wait for Monday. On this day Mobile World Congress 2017 will start and we are very happy to be a part of it. As you might have noticed, we have organised a huge MWC raffle on Twitter a short while ago, giving all our followers the chance to win one out of five free MWC full four-day passes worth 799 Euros. This pass enables you to not only get the full MWC experience, but also to stop by our booth 8.1I10 and see what’s new with Testbirds.
From February 27th to March 2nd, at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, we will be launching a newly developed testing solution: The Global Real Device Network (GRDN)! This new testing solution allows companies to test their applications and software on all Android smartphones and tablets in the market, all through our Nest.
In line with last year’s release of Testing 4.0, in which we combined the strengths of crowdsourced and cloud-based software testing, we now introduce the GRDN. It leverages the smart devices in our crowd of 200,000 testers in 193 countries to create unique remote testing possibilities. By connecting their Android-smartphones and tablets, crowdtesters grant access to clients looking to test apps, websites and other software on real-world mobile devices – all while maintaining a high level of data privacy and security. Once connected, the device can be remotely operated for both manual and automated testing purposes.
