Everyone knows that feeling when you receive a lot of praise and you ask yourself ‘What did I do to deserve this?’
Testbirds is “Top Arbeitgeber Mittelstand 2018”, which means that we are one of the best medium-sized employers out of 13,000 companies according to the German business magazine FOCUS. We know exactly why we deserve this award and therefore we are very happy to have the chance to share this news not only with our employees but with you, our readers.
Being a great employer, establishing a framework for autonomous and self-reliant work as well as creating a feel-good atmosphere, have been the driving factors for our founders since day one. The motivation for founding a company wasn’t to generate a massive profit within the first years, but to create a company in a different way based on their personal and strong conviction that the Testbirds employee isn’t a “Human Resource” but a human being.
Our organizational culture is based on the principal Orga(nisation) 4.0 which is basically associated with shared responsibility among all our team members, self-leadership and trust. These are core principles that characterize our daily work and the way we cooperate with each other.
Despite being responsible for yourself and organizing your working day independently, we attach great value to team dynamics and team spirit. Therefore, we organize team events such as escape games, have typical Bavarian pretzel-breakfast every week and have challenging Birds-Flyouts in order to achieve mutual understanding and last but not least: have fun at work.
Apart from developing strong teams, we offer different possibilities for personal development for every individual. We believe that corporate growth can only be healthy when our individuals grow as well. Thus, regular feedback sessions and internal trainings are important steps on each career path. Sharing the knowledge you gained is a great chance to allow your colleagues to benefit from your development and that is how a group of people can take long strides towards common goals. Therefore, everyone can organize a Bird University, an event where we teach each other and share insights with all our birds.
The last aspect we strongly believe in is transparency. At Testbirds, open communication is more important than anything else. That is why we generally have an open-door policy and communicate difficulties directly. Every month we have an “All Testbirds Meeting” to present and discuss recent numbers and progresses as well as common concerns. This is how we keep a constantly high motivation level among all our departments.
